How will you package my guitar so it is safe in shipping?

The packing process varies some depending on the particular needs of the instrument, but the standard packaging is as follows:

  • The body and headstock are wrapped in bubble wrap.

  • The guitar is then placed in a large bag.

  • The bagged guitar is now placed in a box on top of a layer of bubble wrap or packing paper.

  • More packing paper covers the guitar before the lid is placed on the box.

This has proved to be very safe and effective packaging.

What is a refurbished guitar?

A refurbished guitar may have a cosmetic imperfection or have at one time needed a repair. These instruments are expertly repaired by a manufacturer-authorized refurbisher before being sold by Morris Guitar Company. If the guitar shows a cosmetic imperfection or any sign of repair it is noted in the listing. Most of these instruments; however, show no wear. Even better - they all play like new!

Why do some of your used instruments have a “used” stamp on the back of the headstock?

This step is taken by our refurbishing partner to protect the interests of manufacturers and to prevent the filing of improper warranty claims.  For many consumers, the “used” stamp is recognized as a sign of quality, giving confidence that their instrument has been properly set-up and refurbished by a professional tech.

Why do some of your used instruments have a reassigned serial number?

This step is also taken by our refurbishing partner based on their agreements with manufacturers. Like the “used” stamp many consumers have recognized the reassigned serial number as a symbol of quality instrument refurbishment.

Will my guitar ship with a case/gig bag?

A case/gig bag is not included with every purchase. If a case is included with an instrument, it will be stated in the listing. If you need a case for your instrument please contact us at hello@morrisguitarcompany.com and, if we have one that fits, it may be included for an additional cost.
